New trading sessions at the Turkmen commodity exchange show strong demand for national products. Technical sulfur worth 55.2 million manat was sold, while export deals reached $1.27 million.
The latest auctions held at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (GTSBT) demonstrated a stable demand for our national products. The focus of these trades was the activity of the domestic market and new export-oriented agreements.
Demand for Industrial Raw Materials As a result of the trades held on Friday, representatives of the country's private sector purchased technical sulfur offered by the "Turkmengas" State Concern. The total value of this transaction amounted to 55 million 200 thousand manats, aimed at guaranteeing the raw material supply for local manufacturing enterprises.
Successes in the International Market Turkmenistan's agricultural and pharmaceutical products are increasing the interest of foreign partners. The main directions of the concluded deals:
- Food products: 1st-grade wheat flour was purchased by entrepreneurs from Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
- Pharmaceutical industry: Representatives from Serbia signed a contract to purchase dry licorice root extract produced at the enterprises of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.
The total value of these international transactions reached 1 million 267 thousand 500 US dollars.
Weekly Trading Results The overall indicators of the past week clearly show the scope of Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover. The total value of export deals concluded at the GTSBT during the week exceeded 350 million 748 thousand 700 US dollars.
