2025: Export volume of food products from Turkmenistan increased by 30%

In 2025, the volume of food exports from Turkmenistan increased by 30%. According to the State Customs Service, over 263,000 tons of food products were exported. Fresh tomato exports grew by 21%, vegetables and fruits by 5%, packaged foods by 3%, confectionery by 123%, and non-alcoholic beverages by 282.6%. About 6,000 tons of table eggs and 26,000 tons of cereals were also exported. The Customs Service ensures fast and efficient documentation for food exports.
The volume of food products exported from Turkmenistan increased by 30% in 2025. During this period, more than 263 thousand tons of food products were exported from Turkmenistan. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on Tuesday.
Currently, Turkmenistan holds a leading position in the region in the export of greenhouse tomatoes. Accordingly, more than 181 thousand tons of fresh tomatoes were exported last year, which is a 21% increase compared to 2024.
In addition, in 2025, the export of vegetables and fresh fruits increased by 5%, packaged food products by 3%, confectionery products by 123%, and non-alcoholic beverages by 282.6%. Also last year, approximately 6 thousand tons of edible chicken eggs and about 26 thousand tons of grain food crops were exported.
As noted in the report, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan carries out priority processing of food products exported from the country at state border control points. This is of great importance for the rapid and unobstructed delivery of food products to end consumers.
The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan regularly holds working meetings with private producers, provides legal assistance on customs legislation issues, amendments and additions introduced to it, as well as on new types of services that meet modern requirements for participants in foreign economic activity.
