Turkmen Youth in Romania Celebrate World Health Day with a Sporting Event

Turkmen students studying at various universities in Romania and our compatriots living in this country celebrated World Health Day with great enthusiasm. On the occasion of the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Sacred Independence and the declaration of 2026 as the year of "Independent, Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan — the Land of Swift Steeds," a friendly mini-football tournament was held in the Romanian capital. Organized with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania and the active participation of Turkmen youth, this sporting event aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and develop mass sports among young people. Tournament Results: A total of seven teams from various Romanian cities, including Bucharest, Oradea, Timișoara, and Cluj-Napoca, participated in the friendly competition. Following the intense matches, the winning spots were awarded as follows: - 1st Place: "Turan" team representing Cluj-Napoca; - 2nd Place: "Arkadag" team from the capital, Bucharest; - 3rd Place: The team of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania.
