🚆 A new era of smart railways! Huawei proposes AI integration for Turkmenistan’s railways 🤖 Safety, automation, and efficiency — taken to the next level!
Talks between the "Türkmendemirýollary" Agency and Chinese tech giant Huawei could signal the start of a major digital revolution in the country's transport and logistics sector. The meeting's primary focus was the modernization of the Turkmenbashi – Ashgabat – Turkmenabat route.
Huawei proposed a specialized Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform for the railway industry, promising three strategic advantages:
- Predictive Maintenance: AI identifies potential faults in equipment and rails before they occur, helping to prevent accidents and reduce repair costs.
- Traffic Safety: Through intelligent monitoring of train movements and track conditions, risks stemming from human error are minimized.
- Automation of Operations: Dispatching and management tasks are performed faster and more accurately.
Another crucial point was the transition to the FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) standard. Huawei suggests using the 1900 MHz frequency and existing fiber-optic infrastructure to minimize project costs. Regarding cybersecurity, Huawei provided strong guarantees that the system would be installed locally within Turkmenistan's infrastructure, ensuring no data is shared with third parties or foreign servers.
