The 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee was held in our capital. This meeting confirmed that the multilateral relations between the two states have reached a new strategic level and concluded with the adoption of a highly significant package of documents.
During the meeting, the parties identified the "golden pillars" of economic relations. The energy sector was noted as the most essential direction of interstate relations. Additionally, the development of transport and logistics projects of regional and international importance was at the center of the agenda.
In addition to economic matters, significant attention was paid to scientific and technical cooperation. In particular, agreements on joint work in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) demonstrate the parties' strong confidence in the future.

Based on the results of the meeting, the following set of strategic documents was signed:
- Energy and Education: Agreement on the establishment of a Joint Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center between the Yagshigeldy Kakaev International Oil and Gas University and relevant Chinese institutions.
- Diplomacy: Memorandum between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the China Foreign Affairs University.
- Innovation: Program for scientific, technical, and innovative cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC for 2026–2028.
- Digitalization: Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of Artificial Intelligence between the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and the National Development and Reform Commission of the PRC.
- Logistics: Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.
- Culture: A historic Agreement on the mutual establishment of cultural centers between the two states.
- Healthcare: Memorandum on the establishment of a Traditional Chinese Medicine Center between the State Medical University of Turkmenistan and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
- Long-term Strategy: A 5-year cooperation Program for 2026–2030 and a General Agreement on the basic principles of cooperation in the gas sector.
Meeting participants emphasized the importance of strengthening not only economic interests but also cultural and friendly ties between the two peoples. The regular organization of mutual Days of Culture, exhibitions, sports, and tourism events will be a continuation of this friendship.
At the end of the meeting, the Protocol of the 7th session was signed, outlining specific steps to achieve the set goals.
