Turkmenistan’s delegation presented national energy projects at the International Energy Week and London Energy Forum in London. Key highlights included the development of the Galkynysh gas field, Caspian offshore projects, the TAPI pipeline, and renewable initiatives such as a hybrid solar-wind plant near the “Altyn Asyr” lake.
Representatives of the "Turkmen Energy Forum" (TEF) company introduced international companies and investors to Turkmenistan's energy projects during the "International Energy Week" and "London Energy Forum" events held in London, UK, from February 9–12, 2026. This was reported by the "Turkmen Energy Forum" company.
Participants were presented with plans for developing the "Galkynysh" gas field, projects in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, gas processing, modernization of oil refineries, and the efficient use of associated gas. Initiatives regarding renewable energy sources were also highlighted, specifically the hybrid solar-wind power plant project planned for construction near the "Altyn Asyr" Turkmen Lake.
Special attention was paid to regional infrastructure. Progress on the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline project was presented, including the construction of the Serhetabat–Herat section, which is viewed as a route to access South Asian markets.
As noted in the report, the Turkmen delegation also presented environmental initiatives aimed at reducing methane emissions and decreasing gas flaring.
Turkmenistan invited the participants of the London events to attend international energy events planned to be held in Ashgabat later this year.
