Admission Procedure to the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Admission for the 2026–2027 academic year to the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy has been announced. Enrollment is based on competitive entrance examination results.
Admission to the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy for the 2026–2027 academic year is carried out on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance examinations.
Citizens of Turkmenistan with general secondary education who are loyal to the Motherland, the President of Turkmenistan — the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, morally sound, physically and mentally fit, capable of mastering the educational programs, and meeting special requirements for military and law enforcement personnel are eligible, provided they meet the following age categories:
- male citizens under 24 years of age who have completed compulsory military service and voluntarily wish to serve;
- male citizens under 25 years of age who have graduated from specialized military schools of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan;
- male citizens under 24 years of age in reserve, who are sons (brothers) of servicemen who died while performing military duties during service or training;
- male citizens under 24 years of age in reserve, who are sons (brothers) of servicemen who died within one year after discharge due to disability, injury, concussion, or illness related to military service or training;
- male contract servicemen under 24 years of age.
The age of candidates is calculated as of September 1, 2026. The duration of study at the Military Institute is five academic years.
Applicants must submit an application to the local military authority at their place of residence by May 1, 2026, along with the required documents.
Entrance examinations are conducted in mathematics, physics, and the history of Turkmenistan, as well as physical fitness tests, based on the secondary school curriculum of Turkmenistan. Examinations are conducted in the Turkmen language.
Admission is granted on a competitive basis by decision of the examination board of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. Enrolled cadets are provided with accommodation, military uniforms, educational materials, and other provisions in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan.
