Turkmen-Qatari inter-parliamentary cooperation discussed

On February 15, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Doha, M. Seyitmammedov, met with Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi, Head of the Turkmen-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group. They discussed developing parliamentary cooperation, exchanging legislative experience, and future bilateral projects.
On February 15, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Doha, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, met with the Chairman of the Turkmen-Qatari inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar, Ahmed bin Hitmi Al-Hitmi. This was reported by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Doha.
During the meeting, the Ambassador noted that 2026 was declared in Turkmenistan as the year of "Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the land of swift horses and fulfilled goals." He also spoke about international events and scientific conferences to be held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on developing bilateral inter-parliamentary dialogue, intensifying cooperation strategies, and exchanging experience in the legislative activities of the two countries.
