Saudi Arabia presented 5 tons of dates to Turkmenistan

On February 18, a ceremony was held at the Saudi Embassy to present 5 tons of dates as a humanitarian gift to the Government of Turkmenistan. Given on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, this generous gift symbolizes the strong friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.
On February 18, a ceremony was held at the building of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Ashgabat to present a humanitarian gift to the Government of Turkmenistan — 5 tons of dates from the harvest of the year 1447 of the Hijri calendar.
The gift was presented on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The dates were packed in 625 boxes with a total weight of 5 tons.
The solemn event was attended by the Counselor of the Embassy and Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission Naif bin Saud Al-Sahli, the representative of the Kingdom's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Talal Al-Maliki, as well as representatives of the Muftiate of Turkmenistan.
During the event, Naif bin Saud Al-Sahli met with representatives of the Muftiate of Turkmenistan. They expressed their gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for the generous gift symbolizing the friendship and brotherhood between the two countries. The Turkmen side also expressed gratitude for the support and assistance provided annually to Turkmen pilgrims in performing the Hajj pilgrimage.
