Young Programmers Competed: Results of the "IT-Intelligence — 2026" Hackathon

At the “IT-intellekt: Digital Test – 2026” hackathon, Turkmenistan’s young programmers showcased strong digital skills. The individual Grand Prix went to Berdimyrat Aşyrmyradow, while the team Grand Prix was awarded to the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics. The event highlighted the country’s rising IT talent.
The results of the "IT-Intelligence: Digital Test – 2026" hackathon, organized by the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute and held on April 20-21, 2026, have been announced. Students from 19 higher and secondary vocational schools across the country participated in this online competition, showcasing their digital literacy and IT solution development skills.
In the individual category, young programmers achieved high scores and earned the following rankings:
- Grand Prix: Berdimyrat Ashyrmyradow (Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan).
- 1st Place: Begmyrat Rozyyew (Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan) and Gadam Muhammetowezow (Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan).
- 2nd Place: Serdar Owezmyradow (International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakaev); Kakajan Dowranow (International University for the Humanities and Development); Perman Kakajanow (Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute); Dowran Akmyradow (Magtymguly Turkmen State University).
- 3rd Place: Muhammet Wepamyradow (Mary Oil and Gas Vocational School of the "Türkmengaz" State Concern), Arslan Bayramow and Arslan Sunnatow (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan), Nurmuhammet Ashyrow (Border Institute of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan), and Baymyrat Ashyrow (Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports).
Team Results:
- Grand Prix: Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan.
- 1st Place: International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakaev.
- 2nd Place: International University for the Humanities and Development.
- 3rd Place: Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute.
This competition was organized as part of the implementation of the concept for developing the digital education system in Turkmenistan. Its primary goals are to identify young talents, develop students' innovative and analytical thinking, and foster skills in creating secure IT solutions for various sectors. The winners were awarded diplomas of the respective levels.
