On January 28, an event was held in Bishkek dedicated to the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Swift Horses.” Representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and Turkmen students in Kyrgyzstan participated. The new book of the President of Turkmenistan, “Turkmenistan’s Neutrality – the Clear Path of Peace and Trust,” was also presented. Participants highlighted the importance of neutrality and the country’s achievements.
On January 28, 2026, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic, an event was held dedicated to the declaration of 2026 in Turkmenistan as the Year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Swift Horses.” During the event, the presentation of the new book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, titled “Turkmenistan’s Neutrality – the Clear Path of Peace and Trust,” also took place, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry website.
Representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and Turkmen students studying at universities in Kyrgyzstan participated in the event.
Speakers emphasized the importance of the year’s motto for strengthening the country’s sovereignty and international prestige, noting that Turkmen horses symbolize the nation’s rapid development and high aspirations.
Special attention was given to the new book of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The speakers highlighted that the book contributes to understanding the principles of neutrality as the basis of peace, trust, and sustainable development. The ideas presented in the book are considered important for effective foreign policy and fostering good-neighborly relations.
Participants stated that the 2026 motto will serve as a strong stimulus to strengthen Turkmenistan’s position in the world and to promote the country’s peace-loving foreign policy.
