Turkmenistan and WHO are strengthening cooperation in healthcare! 🤝 New projects, international events, and preparations for the 79th Assembly in Geneva were discussed.
Yesterday, an important meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the country's representative delegation and Egor Zaitsev, the Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Ashgabat.
The talks were organized with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mahri Bashimova, and the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry, Azat Ovezov.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the results of long-standing cooperation and discussed future plans. The main focus was on the following issues:
- Project Documents: Implementation of new projects at bilateral and regional levels and improvement of their legal framework.
- International Events: Preparation for scheduled international conferences and meetings in the field of healthcare.
The most significant part of the negotiations was dedicated to the 79th session of the World Health Assembly to be held in Geneva. The parties analyzed in detail the organizational issues of the events planned with the participation of Turkmenistan within the framework of this prestigious session.
