"Yandex Weather" launches AI chat that advises on what to wear

A new feature has appeared in the "Yandex Weather" service—an artificial intelligence (AI) chat that will help users plan their day taking weather conditions into account. The neural network, based on "Alice AI" technology, provides personalized recommendations: for example, how to dress for a walk, when to start the cycling season, or whether it's time to change car tires. The chat independently determines which data source to use—a long-term forecast, climate statistics, or a short-term forecast for the coming day. It takes the user's geolocation into account and provides answers not just for a city as a whole, but for a specific district as well. According to the developers, the chat's operation is based on access to more than 100 weather indicators, including humidity and wind speed. The neural network is connected to the "Yandex Weather" system via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which allows it to receive data on weather changes instantly.
