South African engineers set a new Guinness World Record with the “Peregreen 4” drone. The drone reached speeds of 657 km/h, becoming the fastest drone in the world.
Engineers from South Africa, Mike Bell and Luke Maximo Bell (father and son), set a new Guinness World Record with the battery-powered drone “Peregreen 4,” which reached speeds of up to 657 kilometers per hour. The previous record, set by “Drone Pro Hub,” was 626.44 km/h.
The “Peregreen 4” drone is the result of numerous engineering improvements built upon the previous model, “Peregreen 3.”
The drone was equipped with a new frame and smaller propellers (reduced from 7 inches to 6 inches in diameter). These technical modifications made the drone more efficient and faster. The maximum power of the “Peregreen 4” is approximately 12 kW, significantly lower than the 16.2 kW of the “Peregreen 3.” Nevertheless, the increase in speed demonstrates the higher overall system efficiency of the device.
