President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital work meeting focused on wheat harvesting, cotton care, sericulture, and regional construction projects. Clear instructions were given to strictly follow agrotechnical standards and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Yesterday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular working meeting via digital video link with the participation of regional governors (hyakims) and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev. The meeting focused on seasonal agricultural activities and regional development issues.
The regional governors reported to the Head of State on the progress of agrotechnical measures. The reports highlighted the following key areas:
- Preparation for Grain Harvest: Irrigation and fertilization work is consistently being carried out in the wheat fields. Simultaneously, with only a few days left until the harvest, the full readiness of combines, elevators, and grain reception points is being ensured.
- Cotton Care: In the fields where seedlings have already emerged, inter-row cultivation, thinning, and weeding are in full swing.
- Sericulture: To fulfill contractual obligations for cocoon production, the care of silkworms is being carried out at the appropriate level.
The meeting covered not only agriculture but also the modernization of the regions' social infrastructure. Specifically:
- The construction pace of social, cultural, and industrial facilities under the National Program was analyzed.
- President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions for the timely and high-quality commissioning of new buildings.
After listening to the reports, the President set several important tasks for agricultural specialists and regional administrations: strictly following science-based approaches and agrotechnical standards for crop care, completing the sowing and maintenance of spring crops on time, and maintaining constant supervision over ongoing construction and the agricultural season.
