HSE University researchers have automated aphasia testing. This mobile app allows medical professionals and families to quickly assess speech disorders following brain damage.
Neurolinguists from HSE University have launched a free mobile app for the rapid diagnosis of aphasia—speech impairments caused by strokes or brain injuries. The 10-minute test consists of six tasks, including following instructions and naming objects. The app automatically calculates a score from 0 to 26 to determine the severity of the impairment. Early detection via this tool is crucial for timely rehabilitation and regaining the ability to speak, read, and write. The app is now available on RuStore.
