International Forum "Turkmentravel – 2026" Begins Its Work in Ashgabat

Turkmentravel – 2026 halkara forumy has started in Ashgabat 🌍 President Serdar Berdimuhamedow highlighted its role in promoting the country’s tourism potential.
Today, Tuesday, the international exhibition and conference titled "Turkmentravel – 2026," showcasing the tourism potential of our country to the world, solemnly opened at the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a Message of Greetings to the participants on the occasion of the opening of the international forum. In his letter, the Head of State drew attention to the country's tourism destinations, especially the values included in international lists:
- Modern Cities: Ashgabat, a member of the World Federation of Tourist Cities, and the newly built city of Arkadag;
- Recreation Zones: "Avaza" National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast;
- Natural Wonders: The unique beauty of the Karakum Desert and the wonders of Koytendag.
The President emphasized that this forum is of strategic importance in promoting our historical, cultural, and natural monuments worldwide and attracting foreign tourists to our country.
The international event is attended by heads of tourism enterprises from dozens of countries, representatives of major hotel chains, international investors, and specialists from related industries. The forum platform features not only presentations but also new mechanisms for practical cooperation:
- B2B and B2G Meetings: Direct negotiations between businesses and with government agencies;
- Thematic Sessions: Consultations on digitalizing the industry and improving service quality;
- New Projects: Presentation of joint investment opportunities in the tourism sector.
The "Turkmentravel – 2026" international exhibition and conference will continue until April 16. During these days, new agreements are expected to be signed, further strengthening Turkmenistan's position on the international tourism map.
