In partnership with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, UNICEF installed a solar photovoltaic system at School No. 33 in Nurly Zaman village, Ahal Province. This initiative provides clean and reliable energy to ensure uninterrupted operation of the school’s water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) systems.
The system uses renewable energy to power water pumps and lighting, supporting daily school operations and creating a safe and healthy learning environment for 305 students and 35 staff members.
Implemented under the “Green School” program, the project promotes the use of “green” energy in schools, strengthens infrastructure resilience, and creates sustainable learning spaces.
