Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan announces transit route for Russians from Iran

The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan has announced transit procedures for Russian citizens wishing to return from Iran who are unable to use direct flights due to current circumstances. Entry into the territory of Turkmenistan can only be carried out through the "Sarakhs" checkpoint on the Iranian-Turkmen border. To coordinate the crossing, citizens must send a set of documents in advance to the Russian diplomatic mission in Tehran via email at rusembiran@mid.ru. The set of documents includes: - Exact date of arrival at the checkpoint; - Full details and dates of birth of all departing persons (including children); - Color copies of foreign passports; - Further evacuation route indicating the point of departure from Turkmenistan; - Copies of tickets or booking confirmation.
