High-level meetings held on April 3, 2026, confirmed the intentions of both countries to modernize healthcare systems and develop the production of medicines on a scientific basis.
Innovations and Cooperation in Medicine During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the development of the pharmaceutical industry and the introduction of innovative technologies into the healthcare system. The main areas discussed included:
- Pharmaceutical Research: Joint development of new medicinal products.
- Technology Exchange: Using digital systems and new methods in medical services.
- Scientific Relations: Strengthening cooperation with Tbilisi State Medical University and the I. Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry.
The Importance of Phytotherapy: Natural Healing and Science During the talks, the parties agreed on studying medicinal plants and developing phytotherapy (herbal treatment method) as an important part of modern medicine.
The Turkmen side highlighted the significance of the multi-volume scientific work "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the National Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This valuable work can serve as a great guide for scientists from both countries in scientifically studying plant compositions and creating effective medicines.
Expansion of Diplomatic Relations In addition to healthcare, political and economic aspects of bilateral cooperation remained in focus.
