On February 12, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mahri Bashimova, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku), Thomas Stähli.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future potential of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Switzerland. The commitment of both sides to further strengthening a productive dialogue based on mutual respect was emphasized.
Special attention was paid to developing cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, particularly the UN.
