Turkmen students participate in international mathematics and chemistry Olympiads in Bukhara

From January 25–29, the “BIMO-2026” and “BIChO-2026” Olympiads are held. Turkmen students compete with peers from other countries, exchange experience, and explore Bukhara’s historical heritage.
From January 25 to 29, international mathematics and chemistry Olympiads are held in Bukhara, Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, the “BIMO-2026” and “BIChO-2026” Olympiads are in full swing.
In this prestigious intellectual competition, held at Bukhara State University, representatives of Turkmen higher education institutions participate alongside students from different countries. The Turkmen team includes 3 teachers and 25 students in mathematics, and 3 teachers and 24 students in chemistry.
The Olympiad program includes:
- Official opening and competitive rounds (individual and team);
- Exchange of experience among professors and teachers from leading universities in Central Asia and worldwide;
- Cultural activities introducing participants to Bukhara’s historical heritage.
This event will be an important milestone in strengthening scientific cooperation between Turkmen and Uzbek universities in 2026.
