Turkmenistan and Iraq embark on a new stage of cooperation

An important diplomatic meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Minister Rashid Meredov received the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in our country, Jassim Mohammed Al-Attary. During the talks, the current pace of development and future prospects of relations between the two states were analyzed in detail. The diplomats paid special attention to the issues of activating political-diplomatic negotiations, expanding trade-economic ties, and strengthening cultural-humanitarian cooperation. A new foundation for cooperation: Opening of the Embassy The meeting noted the historical significance of the commencement of the Republic of Iraq's Embassy operations in Ashgabat in March of this year. It was emphasized that this diplomatic step would serve as an important tool in raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level and provide additional impetus to mutually beneficial cooperation. In addition, the parties exchanged views on regional stability and cooperation. At the end of the meeting, readiness to further develop friendly relations between the two countries was expressed.
