In 2025, a total of 21,320 cargo containers, including transit, export, and import, were transported through Turkmenistan. These shipments along the international corridors “North–South,” “Lapis–Lazuli,” and “East–West” provide additional logistics opportunities for the region.
In 2025, a total of 21,320 cargo containers were transported through Turkmenistan. Compared to the same period last year, this is 10,200 more containers. This was reported by the Ministry of Railways of Turkmenistan.
Of the total cargo transported, 10,470 containers were transit, 6,450 were export, and 4,400 were import.
According to the report, the widespread use of container shipments helps increase transit, import, and export cargo flows along the main international transport routes passing through Turkmenistan: “North–South,” “Lapis–Lazuli,” and “East–West,” while also providing additional logistics opportunities for regional countries.
From January to November 2025, 19,000 containers were transported through Turkmenistan.
