Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Abu Dhabi presented credentials to the head of IRENA

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Baýram Baýramow presented his credentials in Abu Dhabi to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Director-General Francesco La Camera. The talks focused on cooperation in renewable energy and green hydrogen projects.
On February 24, in Abu Dhabi, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates, Bayram Bayramov, presented his credentials to Francesco La Camera, the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). With this, he officially assumed his duties as the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the organization. This event was carried out in accordance with the decree issued by the President of Turkmenistan on February 10, 2026, according to the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in the UAE.
Following the ceremony, the parties held a meeting to discuss bilateral cooperation opportunities. Key focus was placed on joint projects for the production of "green" hydrogen and the integration of renewable energy technologies into Turkmenistan's national energy sector.
As a result of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their intention to continue the strategic dialogue, noting Turkmenistan's important role in ensuring regional energy security and developing international environmental diplomacy.
