100 Scholarships Annually: Azerbaijan invites foreign applicants to study under the Heydar Aliyev scholarship program

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan announce the launch of the "Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant" program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The scholarship provided by the Government of Azerbaijan for higher education will be awarded annually for a period of 5 years. The "Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant" program creates an excellent opportunity for selected candidates to undergo preparatory courses, as well as pursue education in undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, residency in general medicine, and medical specialties at leading universities in Azerbaijan. Every year, 100 foreign applicants will be eligible to receive this scholarship. Candidates selected for the scholarship will be provided with the following benefits: - TUITION FEES: Full financing of tuition fees at the undergraduate, graduate, residency, and doctoral levels, as well as language preparation courses (according to the language of instruction). - INTERNATIONAL AIR TRAVEL: One economy-class flight ticket per year to Baku (from the country of origin) and from Baku (to the home country). - MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: A monthly stipend of 800 Azerbaijani Manats (470 USD) for accommodation, daily expenses, and educational materials (for 10 months, excluding July and August). - MEDICAL INSURANCE: An annual payment of 200 Azerbaijani Manats (117 USD) for medical services and medicines during the period of study in the Republic of Azerbaijan. - VISA AND REGISTRATION: A single-entry visa to enter the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as a temporary residence permit for staying in the country during each academic year.
