Korea’s National Institute for International Education Invites Students to Master’s and Doctoral Programs

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea announces the admission of international students for the 2026 Government Scholarship Program (GKS) for master’s and doctoral programs. Degrees and duration of study: - Master’s: 1 year of Korean language training, 2 years of the main program. - Doctorate: 1 year of Korean language training, 3 years of the main program. Eligibility requirements: - Applicants must be Turkmen citizens born after September 1, 1986 (under 40 years old). - For master’s programs: bachelor’s degree holders or those expected to obtain a bachelor’s degree by July 31, 2026. - For doctoral programs: master’s degree holders or those expected to obtain a master’s degree by July 31, 2026. Application period: from 11:00 on February 12 to 18:00 on February 25, 2026 (Korean time). Applications can be submitted online via the Study in Korea system: www.studyinkorea.go.kr
