Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, joined "The Talk" expert meeting in Brussels to discuss global tech trends.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, Sapar Palwanow, participated in the first session of the expert meeting titled "The Talk," organized by the "Norm" platform in collaboration with "Diplomatic World" and supported by "Cardo Brussels." The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of European institutions, and business groups.
During the discussions, issues of digitalization, the rapid development of artificial intelligence, and the adaptation of national legislation to technological changes were addressed. Particular attention was paid to data protection, cybersecurity, and creating mechanisms for the safe use of artificial intelligence. This was stated in a report released by the Embassy of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The Turkmen side noted that the country's regulatory legal framework is being systematically modernized, electronic government services are being developed, and they are ready to implement leading international practices. The Ambassador confirmed Turkmenistan's interest in expanding relations with European partners in the digital sphere.
On the same day, Sapar Palwanow, together with his colleagues—the ambassadors of Central Asian countries and Mongolia—held a meeting with Pascal Arimont, a Member of the European Parliament from Belgium.
