At the Turkmen–Chinese business forum in Ashgabat, the head of CODA stated that cooperation between the two countries has entered a phase of concrete project implementation. Investments focus on green energy, innovative agriculture, and gas chemistry, strengthening Turkmenistan’s industrial development.
During the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum held in Ashgabat, He Zhenwei, President of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), made a significant statement. He noted that the partnership between the two countries has moved beyond intentions to the stage of implementing concrete projects.
The current visit of the Chinese delegation is aimed at a detailed study of Turkmenistan’s IT industry, high-tech manufacturing, and agriculture. Three main areas are prioritized for Chinese investors:
- "Green" Energy: Utilizing China’s vast experience in this field to construct solar power plants within Turkmenistan.
- Innovative Agriculture: Bringing modern technologies to the agro-industrial complex and increasing productivity.
- Gas Chemical Sector: Moving beyond exporting natural gas merely as a raw material toward deep processing to produce high-value-added products. This approach will allow the country to significantly increase its foreign exchange earnings.
He Zhenwei emphasized that the efforts of the leaders of both nations have created the most favorable conditions for business. Currently, CODA is ready to introduce the most advanced developments into production and lay the foundation for long-term cooperation for the welfare of both peoples.
This forum stands as a vital component of Turkmenistan’s strategy to become an industrially developed nation and is designed to deliver tangible economic results.
