Turkmenistan and Türkiye are elevating their strategic partnership. During talks in Antalya, Foreign Ministers Rashid Meredov and Hakan Fidan discussed expanding cooperation in political, economic, and legal areas. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability and mutual support.
On April 18, productive negotiations were held in Antalya between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan. This meeting was aimed at further strengthening the relations between the two brotherly nations.
Diplomatic Achievements and Congratulations At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Turkmen delegation congratulated the Turkish side on the high-level organization and successful execution of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF-2026). The importance of this forum in ensuring peace and stability in the region was particularly emphasized.
New Heights of Relations During the conversation, the parties highly appraised the current state of interstate cooperation. It was stressed that the efforts of the following individuals play a primary role in bringing relations to this level:
- The President of Turkmenistan;
- The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan;
- The President of the Republic of Türkiye.
