On April 14, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Ms. Deemah Al-Yahya.
The meeting focused on establishing and strengthening mutually beneficial digital relations between Turkmenistan and this international organization, as well as its member states. Ms. Deemah Al-Yahya provided detailed information about the organization's activities. She emphasized that coordinating digital relations, cross-border investments, and high-level talks between Central Asia and the member states is of great importance to the organization.
Ambassador M. Ayazov noted that great attention is paid to the development of the digital economy in our country at the state level. Turkmenistan is entering a new stage in the digital field. As mentioned during the meeting, the following documents have been approved to further develop the digital economy in the country:
- New Concept: Key visions defining the main directions for the development of the digital economy.
- State Program: A specific plan for implementing digital reforms between 2026 and 2028.
This meeting is a continuation of Turkmenistan's active diplomacy toward integrating into the international digital space and implementing innovative technologies.
