GTSBT Trades: Weekly Transactions Exceed $20 Million

Last week, a high pace of international and domestic business relations was maintained at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. A total of 28 transactions were officially registered during the trades. Foreign investors showed great interest in petroleum and textile products produced in Turkmenistan, as well as construction materials. - Energy: Companies from China and Uzbekistan purchased base oil produced at the enterprises of the "Turkmennebit" State Concern. - Industry and Textiles: Representatives from the UAE, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and other neighboring countries concluded contracts for the purchase of Portland cement, cotton yarn, denim fabrics, and wheat flour. The total value of these transactions carried out in foreign currency amounted to more than 20 million 32 thousand US dollars. Internal Market and National Business Entrepreneurs of our country also actively utilized the opportunities of the exchange to provide the domestic market with raw materials and products. The following products were purchased by local businessmen: - SC "Turkmengas": Technical sulfur; - SC "Turkmennebit": Polypropylene and petroleum road bitumen; - Textiles and Agriculture: Raw silk and cotton fiber. The total value of these transactions concluded in national currency amounted to 529 million 835 thousand manats. These indicators once again confirmed the increasing export potential of our country and the steady development of domestic production.
