
A project has been launched to connect 21 villages in the Sang-Atash district of Badghis province, Afghanistan, to Turkmenistan’s energy system.
According to “Bakhtar News” on Sunday, the project is being implemented by the company “Breshna Sherkat.”
The project is valued at 2 million USD, and upon completion, approximately 7,000 households will be provided with electricity. The report notes that the work is expected to be completed within five months.
Earlier, Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Afghanistan’s energy company, stated that the roadmap for the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line project has been prepared and will soon be sent to the Turkmen side.
