512 GB Smartphones Gain Popularity, 1 TB Models Becoming Scarce

Rising memory prices are hitting mid-range smartphones around 2500 yuan ($360) the hardest, according to insider Digital Chat Station.

Some customers of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 devices canceled their original plans, prompting price adjustments.

512 GB versions are the best-selling, with prices 400–500 yuan ($57–72) higher than 256 GB models.

The number of smartphones with 1 TB memory is limited. Demand for released models is declining, and pending orders are being canceled.

Digital Chat Station previously reported accurate specifications for Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, noted Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a bright Samsung display, and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC will launch before Snapdragon 8 Elite.
