In the International Science and Technology Park of the capital, a creative meeting titled "Woman and Nature" was held by the "Young Naturalist" public organization on the occasion of International Women's Day.
The event, organized with the technical support of the UNDP Turkmenistan project "Support to the process of updating the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0)" within the framework of obligations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement on climate, brought together about forty women and girls.
During the event, representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan spoke, emphasizing the special role of women in forming an ecological culture in society. The participation of women working in various fields such as education, healthcare, and mass media as honored guests further enriched the content of the event.
"The role of women in society is always kept in the spotlight in our country. Nature and women are a unified source of life and beauty. The main goal of our organization is to strengthen this harmony in the minds of the younger generation and to form a careful attitude toward nature in them," noted Leyli Shykhmedova, the head of the "Young Naturalist" public organization.
UNDP specialists and young ecological volunteers exchanged experiences on international tasks related to climate change and projects implemented in this field. During the event, members of the "Young Naturalist" public organization engaged in an interesting conversation with specialists and received specific answers to their questions. At the end of the meeting, commemorative gifts were presented to the participants by the organization.
This creative meeting became an effective platform for young women to support ecological initiatives and exchange experiences.
