The healthy development of the younger generation and maternal health protection remain priority areas of our country's state policy. Currently, medical centers across the country offer modern services that meet international standards.
The work carried out in this direction in the Lebap region is clearly visible through modernized medical centers. In particular, the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care have become a celebration of our people's noble traditions.
In our region's specialized maternal and child health center, large-scale charitable work is being implemented through the funds of the aforementioned foundation. To date, 70 complex medical procedures and surgeries have been successfully completed in our center.
The results achieved, especially in the treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders and other serious illnesses, have enabled children to fully recover and return to a joyful life with their peers. The smile on the face of every child who has regained their health is the greatest reward of our state's humanitarian principles.
Within the framework of the National Program for Early Childhood Development adopted in Turkmenistan, effective steps are being taken in Lebap. The "Early Childhood Development and Early Intervention Room," operating in close cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), provides comprehensive support to the younger generation—not only medical but also psychological and pedagogical.
Furthermore, our regional center is one of the hospitals equipped with the most advanced technology for providing perinatal care, where high-quality services for the care and life-saving of premature infants have been established.
The doctors of our center, which has successfully held the international title of "Baby-Friendly Hospital" three times in a row, regularly improve their professional skills. New methods learned at international seminars held in our capital are being integrated into the healthcare practices of our region.
