Turkmenistan is confidently stepping into the era of global technological transformation, turning the e-government concept into a powerful tool for national development. The creation of a unique national model of digital governance marks a new qualitative stage for effective state-society interaction.
Currently, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov identifies the wide-scale digitalization of all sectors as a strategic priority, outlined in the “Concept of Digital Economy Development for 2026–2028.” The inter-agency e-interaction system is the core of this transformation, aimed at removing obstacles and making state services as accessible and transparent as possible.
Modern reality shows that a country's economic strength is measured not only by its natural resources but also by the quality of its digital infrastructure. Turkmenistan, drawing on the experience of leading technological states, is creating a flexible and reliable information ecosystem.
In cooperation with the UN Development Programme, the Turkmenaragatnaşyk Agency has implemented the national X-Road platform. Recognized as one of the safest tools worldwide, this solution allows agencies to exchange data securely and ensures citizens’ personal information remains fully protected.
The development of e-government goes beyond technical aspects, facilitating the implementation of the Smart City concept and supporting the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The unified platform already integrates key ministries, and the list is set to expand, creating a cohesive national information space.
This project will serve as an intelligent assistant for every citizen, simplifying the process of obtaining documents, permits, and certificates in just a few clicks. Such a system accelerates procedures while fostering a new culture of interaction focused on effective public service.
Understanding that the future depends on intellect and professional skills, Turkmenistan invests in preparing the next generation of experts. Agency specialists study Java and Python programming languages and undergo advanced training in Cisco and Linux international standards. Training experts capable of managing complex digital systems ensures the country’s long-term stability and sovereignty.
