A round table was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University on the initiative of Turkmen students

On March 18, 2026, a round table titled "35th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence: Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Winged Horses and Fulfilled Dreams" was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by university leadership, faculty members, and students studying at the higher education institution.

During the round table, the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and measures implemented in the field of youth policy were discussed. Participants also noted that the diplomatic relations established between the two countries over many years have evolved into a deep strategic partnership in political, economic, and socio-cultural spheres.

In their speeches, Turkmen students emphasized that they would elevate the prestige of Turkmenistan, strengthen friendship between nations, and contribute to the development of international academic cooperation.

The students also highlighted that at the core of Turkmenistan's achievements during the years of Independence lie the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the wise and visionary policy of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Furthermore, international students studying at the university noted that relations among youth and cooperation in the education sector serve as an important bridge bringing the future of our countries closer together.

At the end of the round table, participants emphasized that during the years of Independence, Turkmen-Kazakh relations have developed in a spirit of trust and good neighborliness, and that the solid foundation of strategic partnership was laid thanks to the wise policy and close dialogue of the top leadership of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
