From August 28 to 30, 2026, a sightseeing tour to ancient Kunurgench will be organized by the "Mädeniýet we Syýahat" magazine of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. During the trip, participants will be able to travel to ancient Kunurgench by railway and closely acquaint themselves with the historical and cultural monuments of this region. The excursion will provide an opportunity to explore the architectural features and rich cultural heritage of the ancient city. Kunurgench is one of the historically and culturally important centers of Turkmenistan, and several monuments within its territory are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The "Mädeniýet we Syýahat" magazine regularly organizes tourist routes in various directions in order to develop domestic tourism in the country and widely promote the historical, cultural, and natural potentials of Turkmenistan. Among these directions are the "Awaza" National Tourist Zone, historical monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the scenic places of Koytendag, and other tourist centers.
