
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering allocating loan financing in the amount of USD 50 million to implement a regional project titled “Modernization of Border Crossings for Integration, Logistics, and Development.” Turkmenistan is among the participating countries.
According to the Report news agency, citing the ADB on Monday, the initiative is regional in nature. Other participating countries include Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The project is expected to be financed from the Asian Development Bank’s capital resources. Approval of the project concept is scheduled for November 26, 2027, while loan financing approval is anticipated in 2028.
The Asian Development Bank is an international financial institution established to support sustainable economic development in countries across Asia and the Pacific by providing loans, grants, and technical assistance.
