Admission Announcement for the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

The Graduate School of the Academy of Korean Studies is inviting applications for Master's and Doctoral programs. Selected international students will receive full tuition waivers and opportunities for government scholarships.

The Graduate School of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) announces the student intake for the special program of the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Applicants must review the guidelines and submit their applications online.

Degrees offered: Master's or Doctoral programs. Online application deadlines:

Fall 2026 Intake (Classes start: September 1, 2026):

Application period: March 9 to March 20, 2026.

Spring 2027 Intake (Classes start: March 1, 2027):

Application period: August 31 to September 11, 2026.

Benefits for International Students

The Academy offers the following financial support:

Tuition Fees: Full tuition waiver for the duration of the program (2 years for Master's, 3 years for Doctorate).

Scholarship: 15 selected first-year students will receive a government scholarship of 800,000 KRW per month for one year.
