Belgium's airline Air Belgium has operated its first regular cargo flight to Ashgabat International Airport, opening a new air route for transporting goods from Asia to Europe.

This airline flight has become one of the new destinations enhancing the importance of the Ashgabat airport in the international cargo transportation system. The new route creates opportunities to transport various goods from Asian countries to the markets of Belgium and other European nations.

Mathieu Wituc, Ground Operations Director at Air Belgium, expressed gratitude to Ashgabat International Airport for its support in establishing the new flight.

"This is our first flight to the city of Ashgabat. We are very pleased with this opportunity. We express our gratitude to the Ashgabat airport for its support and hospitality. This partnership is of great importance in transporting our cargo from Asia to Belgium. We hope to continue it for many years," he noted.

Air Belgium is an airline headquartered in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium, specializing primarily in international cargo air transportation.

The opening of the new regular cargo route via Ashgabat demonstrates Turkmenistan's favorable geographical location and the further expansion of the capital's potential in the international logistics system.
