
On March 12, 2026, a meeting was held in Tokyo between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, A. Bayramov, and the leaders of the Japan Equestrian Federation and the Tokyo Equestrian Park, Ito Hiroshi and Yoshikazu Masuda. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was attended by Takuma Miyaji, a member of the Japan-Turkmenistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group and member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament; Michiko Aoe, CEO of the "Akhal-teke Affinity Co. LTD" Japanese economic society, member of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, and Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan; along with Japanese horse breeders.
During the conversation, the Japanese side was introduced to the large-scale events being held domestically and abroad during the year "Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the land of swift horses," as well as the country's policy in the equestrian sector. Furthermore, specific directions for establishing cooperation with the Japan Equestrian Federation were discussed.
Following the meeting, the participants visited the monument of the Akhal-Teke horse located within the Tokyo Equestrian Park.
