
Yesterday, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, A. Bayramov, met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ayano Kunimitsu. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits, as well as the main areas of bilateral cooperation. In particular, views were exchanged on political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and inter-parliamentary cooperation, partnership in the field of energy security, and interaction within multilateral platforms.
As noted in the report, A. Bayramov expressed gratitude for the support provided in organizing the President of Turkmenistan's visit to Japan in December 2025 and emphasized the Turkmen side's readiness to organize the visit of Japanese Prime Minister S. Takaichi to Turkmenistan at a time convenient for the Japanese side.
A. Kunimitsu also expressed gratitude to the top leadership of Turkmenistan for assistance in creating a humanitarian corridor that ensured the safe evacuation of Japanese citizens from Iran in connection with the current situation in that country.
