
On February 20, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held an educational lecture at the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn on the occasion of the declaration of the year's motto "Independent, eternally Neutral Turkmenistan — the land of prosperity with the speed of a stallion" and the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The university's faculty members and students participated in the event.
During the meeting, participants were provided with detailed information on the consistent implementation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy based on the principles of permanent neutrality, peace-lovingness, good-neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was also noted that the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's state Independence is being celebrated with great solemnity in 2026, and the achievements gained in political, economic, cultural, and social spheres under the leadership of the head of state were highlighted.
Special attention during the event was given to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov's book titled "Neutrality of Turkmenistan – a Clear Path of Peace and Trust." It was emphasized that this book reveals the philosophy of Turkmen neutrality as a crucial factor in ensuring sustainable peace and trust.
At the same time, the role of Akhal-Teke horses as the national pride of the Turkmen people, an invaluable historical and cultural heritage, and one of the country's most magnificent symbols was also noted.
At the end of the event, a documentary film titled "Magtymguly in the Memory of the World," filmed in the Kyrgyz Republic, was screened.
