
On March 10, 2026, within the framework of the second training seminar for young diplomats and civil servants of Central Asia, an interactive dialogue titled "The Role of Women Diplomats in Society and Their Achievements" was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Organized jointly with the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, the event was attended by staff from foreign missions and international organizations in Turkmenistan, female employees of international structures, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, female faculty members, and female students of the institute.
During the conference, speakers included Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Faryal Leghari, UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan, and Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chinar Rustamova.
The speeches highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan's policy of permanent Neutrality, noting that this policy serves as a model for promoting peace-loving initiatives and establishing a reliable dialogue in international relations. It was emphasized that the principle of "Dialogue – A Guarantee of Peace," based on Neutrality, further strengthens the role of women in diplomacy and supports their initiatives for ensuring peace in the region. Participants stressed that the skills of women in public administration and international cooperation directly influence the sustainable development of the world.
