Applications open for the XI International Turkic World Documentary Film Festival

The organizing committee has started accepting applications for the XI International Turkic World Documentary Film Festival. Authors can submit their works through the official website of the event until June 30, 2026. In 2026, the forum will be held under the slogan "Deep Cultural Roots — A Strong Future." The organizers pay special attention to preserving historical memory and developing modern documentary cinema art in the countries of the Turkic cultural space. Among the participating countries are Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Northern Cyprus. The geography of the festival also extends to regions of the Russian Federation — Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Khakassia, Tuva, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), as well as Gagauzia. The festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, TÜRKSOY, TİKA, YTB organizations, and the Union of Turkic World Municipalities. Media support is provided by "TRT Avaz", "Türkmeneli TV", "ASIA TV", "EL ARNA", and "Bayrak Radyo Televizyon Kurumu".
