The creative team of the State Russian Drama Theatre named after A. S. Pushkin is touring the Balkan region, presenting local residents with stage productions in a variety of genres. Performances by the experienced artists in the Gyzylarbat and Bereket districts, the regional centre and the Hazar settlement of the city of Balkanabat have attracted considerable interest among audiences.

During the creative tour, the theatre company presented productions intended for audiences of different ages. The plays “Pushkin,” “Autumn Waltz,” “A Man’s Visit to a Woman,” “The Magic of the Stage” and “Eastern Melody,” prepared by Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan Olga Volkova and stage directors Kyýas Gurbanow and Baýram Garajaýew, were presented to the public. Children were also treated to the productions “Circus in the Forest” and “The Cheerful Wolf.”

The stage performances artistically portray human relationships, spiritual and moral values, and various aspects of everyday life. The characters brought to life by the actors, their performing skills and the content of the productions left a positive impression on the audience. The enthusiastic applause following each performance demonstrated the public’s strong interest in the theatre company’s work.

The successful performances were made possible in part by the valuable contributions of Alina Andronova and Kerim Atayev, winners of the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” (“Golden Age of the Turkmen”) competition, as well as actors Tatýana Owezmyradowa, Merdan Nurmuhammedow, Atageldi Guseýnow and Mihail Rogow. The characters they portrayed on stage helped enhance the artistic quality and emotional impact of the productions.

The performances in the Balkan region once again highlighted the role of theatrical art in public life and its importance in promoting cultural values. Such creative tours enable residents of different regions to become more familiar with theatre, broaden their cultural horizons and foster the development of creative ties.

Throughout the tour, audience members expressed their gratitude to the artists and gave high praise to their performances. This appreciation encourages the theatre professionals to pursue new creative approaches and prepare engaging, meaningful productions for audiences of all ages.
