Awards presented in Ashgabat to the winners of the Gulbaba Children’s Prize

In Ashgabat, the award ceremony for the Gulbaba Children's Prize was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This prize is awarded to talented children of Turkmenistan — winners of subject Olympiads, intellectual and creative competitions, as well as sports tournaments.

The competition is organized by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. It is highly popular among young people and annually brings together hundreds of talented children under the age of 18 from all regions of the country.

This year, 99 participants of the competition received special diplomas and commemorative gifts. In addition, four creative groups were honored: the “Joshgun” dance ensemble, the “Galkynysh” artistic reading group, the children’s choir of the “Jahan” creativity center, as well as children of the kindergarten at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Children’s Rehabilitation and Health Center in the city of Arkadag.

The competition is traditionally held during the winter vacation period, at a time when the main New Year festivities are taking place in the capital. Each year, this creative contest helps discover many new talents, support their development, and encourage the creative potential of the younger generation.
