British Embassy in Turkmenistan Announces Changes to the Visa System

The British Embassy in Turkmenistan has announced that starting from February 25, 2026, the UK immigration system has transitioned to a digital format.

Now, all foreign nationals who require a visa to enter the country will be issued only an electronic visa (eVisa). This replaces the physical visa stickers (vignettes) previously placed in passports.

Information regarding visa status is stored digitally within the UK immigration services' system.

The diplomatic mission advises applicants to familiarize themselves beforehand with the updated rules and the procedure for processing documents.
